Dana (Candy)

Stella is a Havaheart Rescue alumni (aka HHR Dana). She came into care at just a few weeks old along with her momma and siblings, many of which had suffered snake bites due to being dumped by a horrible human. Stella is now a happy and healthy 1 year old lab mix. Stella is an energetic, smart, and spunky dog, who wants to be loved by everyone! She is potty trained, crate trained and still working on being leash trained but getting the hang of it. She knows how to sit, lay down, and come on command. She was extremely easy to potty train as a puppy and prefers to be outdoors but loves to snuggle inside. Never has shown aggression to anything or anyone except her squeaker toys. Her favorite thing is to play with other dogs. She weighs about 70 pounds and is a year old (June 18, 2019). Stella’s family has made the difficult decision to rehome her because Stella needs another big dog to play with and plenty of room to romp outdoors. Stella’s family is unable to take on another dog at this time. Again, Stella’s perfect family would be very active, have another big dog and a large fenced yard. For Stella’s sake, we’d like to place her with a family that is open to the possibility of adopting. Stella is located in SW Missouri and reasonable transport is available.
