Brock

Hi! My Name Is Brock

We're happy to tell you that Brock has a new furever home.

Brock is super chill and loves to take long naps on the couch next to his person. He has become very attached to his foster mom and follows her everywhere. He gets along with the resident dog and mostly just ignores the cats. He has barked at them a few times at night when he’s gotten up to get water and they are there. My kids absolutely love him. Most of the time he is totally fine with them but does not like it if they get in his face too much (but who does?). He will give a warning growl and back away. He does get nervous and tries to get away if they are being too loud and crazy. He is housebroken and has never had an accident. When it’s time to go outside he waits for our other dog to come out with him. He is scared of the dark and likes if you leave a nightlight on for him. If you don’t, he jumps at things that go bump in the night, like the cats, and starts barking. He does not sleep in a crate. We didn’t have one big enough for him and tried to put him in a play yard we had but he would not go in. We have had no problem leaving him out during the day. Leash walking is going well but when he decides he’s done he won’t move and there is no budging him. The vet loved him so much I almost didn’t get him back! She did say that he has joint disease in his front ankles, most likely from an old injury. It may cause arthritis as he gets older.
