Great things about HHR Edith:
HHR Edith is the sweetest, most lovable hound I’ve ever met. She loves to cuddle, sleep in your lap, on the sofa and the favorite recliner. HHR Edith will also sleep in her create, especially if there is thunder and lightning that really scares her. She responds best with affection and treats; she learned to sit in about 5 minutes and now runs to the kitchen when she hears the treat bag.
HHR Edith needs a lot of sleep and a lot of activity. She has a tendency to bolt out the front door if given a chance. It seems like she was initially trained to run and find squirrels and other wildlife. A large, fenced backyard is a must, long walks and maybe an active family that allows her to run and chase but brings her inside for snuggles and love. She is mostly potty trained, but still forgets to ask to go out so at first letting her out a lot during the day really helps. She is good through the night and not super excited to go potty in the morning, so that’s when you need to pay attention!
HHR Edith answers to Ellie May and will come if you call Ellie”! She eats a meal when the family gets up in the morning and kind of picks in the pm until later in the evening so we have been leaving it down until she eats. She is good with all adults, children and other dogs of all sizes, but would need work to understand the cat is not her prey.
Medical/Vetting: HHR Edith is spayed and up to date on all her shots.
