Mango

House training: work in progress! He is marking less and doing well post neuter. Will need to be monitored and taken outside on a schedule. Socializing: will probably do best in a home with another social dog to help him learn more about how to be a normal dog. He comes from a mill so his socialization just started a month ago. He hasn’t had a lot of experiences yet. Children: he loves his fosters toddler. Seems to trust her the most. He (Mango) is working on making eye contact. Outdoor time: Mango’s foster has a fenced yard and he loves wandering. He doesn’t love being “wrangled” (picked up, handled) yet but with time and patience and slow practice he will learn to trust his people. He does not like being chased. He is not good on a leash yet so adopters wanting to walk him would need to start leash training very slowly and cautiously. Safety: If Mango had an opportunity, he would probably run. Adopter must be aware of security measures needed to keep Mango safe and secure so that he doesn’t run and get lost, hit by a car, etc.
