Mona

I’m Mona. My foster mom calls me Mon Ami (French for My Friend) since we are becoming good friends, but I am looking for my best FOREVER friend. I have been so afraid of humans for so long, that I am still learning to trust, but just say, “Pick up Mona” and I will stop and let you get me. I will stay in the corner all the time and just come out to eat and use the potty pad, if you let me, so I need another small dog who will draw me out to play and I will need for you to bring me out to snuggle. It has taken months, but I have become more comfortable with my foster siblings and love to play with them. I also go in and out of a dog door on my own and love to play outside. I surprise my foster family with wiggle butts and Mona dances, especially in the mornings. I hope you are a morning person! I am full of good surprises, and I can be trusted at home by myself. I lived in a crate for so long, I don’t want to be in one again. I'm fine to sleep in a pet bed or on the couch, or you could teach me to sleep in your bed if you want.
